ANPR used for 'Smart-Tech' parking at centre:mk
Overview
TagMaster ANPR cameras has successfully been deployed in to a parking systems from APT Skidata at the new centre:mk multi-storey ‘smart tech’ car park in Milton Keynes, UK. The car park is packed full of the latest technology, and brings over 1400 new spaces to the city centre shopping area.
How We Helped
1. Access Control
The CT45 Camera comprises HD ANPR cameras housed in tough stainless steel bollards connected to a server running Jet Management Suite integrating to APT Skidata. The system helps to provide cost effective hassle free parking for the ever increasing numbers of visitors to the centre:mk.
2. Improve Efficiency
The car park, which cost centre:mk’s joint owners £30 million to build, features intelligent state of the art technology which is all geared up to deliver hassle free shopping to centre:mk’s visitors.
The ANPR system passes the number plate to Skidata at the entrance barrier that produces a ticket with your number plate on it. The ANPR (automatic number place recognition) works with an app, to take automatic payment by recognising guest registration plates. Even if you don’t use the app, payment is fast and easy with the Skidata ticket machines, with barriers opening automatically when the plate is read at the exit via ANPR, keeping traffic flowing and improving the visitor experience. Today there are barriers at the car park entrances and exits, but the system can also be set up with Free-Flow access, without barriers.
